Michigan, more so than any other state, captivates and amazes with its year-round fly fishing, it’s storied past, and it’s beautiful scenery. Our intent is to share the experience of Michigan fishing with you. Our shop is right in the heart of the Huron-Manistee National Forest in Michigan — a 100-mile radius of backwoods, wildlife, ponds, and streams and rivers that rival any area you’ve experienced — and right in the heart of the most storied and historic fly fishing waters in the country. Our home waters are some of Michigan’s most famous trout, steelhead, and salmon waters like the Big Manistee, Pere Marquette, Little Manistee, Bear Creek, and Pine River. We’ve been guiding on these waters for decades.

Michigan fly fishing is incredible. Native 20-inch Brown and Rainbow trout to be stalked with streamers and dry flies. Spectacular Brook trout streams. Bright chrome Steelhead that bend even the stoutest two-handed rod. Huge King and Coho Salmon that will viciously crush a swung fly. Goliath Lake-Run Browns that stalk the rivers in the fall. Pudgy Smallmouth waiting to hammer twitched poppers. Carp on the crystal-clear flats of Lake Michigan. Toothy Northern Pike lurking in weedy shallows and log jams. You name it, Michigan has it, and we chase it.

From hot stream-side lunches to world-class gear to outstanding watercraft to fly fishing experience and knowledge, our fly fishing guides will exceed your expectations. Nothing less than first class. They work hard to put you on fish, improve your angling skills and increase your fly fishing knowledge. Just as importantly, they enjoy sharing a good story, lay out an exceptional lunch spread and generally make fine company. You’ll find that they work hard so you don’t have to — your only job is to relax and catch fish. We can also help you with lodging and accommodations, non-angling activities and whatever else you need to make sure your trip to our area is memorable.

Fishing is not just our business—it’s our life. Give our team a call and we’ll tailor a trip that matches your schedule, passion, and skill level. We’ll help you select the right time and the right guide. In addition to fly fishing, we offer centerpin and light tackle trips for steelhead and salmon.
