A credit card is required to hold a lodging reservation. A deposit is not taken on lodging reservations.
Cancellations from 7 days to before 48 hours.
You will be charged half the amount of the entire reservation.
Cancellations from 48 hours to check in date.

Guide Service

A $100.00 per boat per day non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking.  We gladly accept all major credit cards.  If the need arises and you do have to cancel your trip, it must be done 30 days prior to your schedule date. 
Lodging is not included with any Guide trips. If you would like to stay at Manistee River Lodge regular rates will apply.

Conference Center

A credit card is required to hold a Conference Center reservation. A deposit of 25 percent is required to hold the reservation.

Wellston MI

Wellston is surrounded by the Manistee National Forest. There are plenty of outdoor activities to choose from, including: Fishing and Hunting, Hiking and Mountain Biking, Kayaking and Canoeing, Cross Country Skiing, Snowmobile Trails.

If you love rafting, boating or canoeing, you’ve found the right place. The Little Manistee River, Big Manistee River, Pine River are great paddling rivers for all experience levels. Go with the flow (literally) when you drift down Manistee River with one of the area’s many watersport paddle outfitters. There are also many natural lakes in the Manistee National Forest perfect for kayaking and canoeing.

The Manistee River is our home water and is popular for fishing and widely known as one of the best trout fisheries east of the Rocky Mountains. Northern Michigan is also legendary for hunting whitetail deer, black bear and has one of the highest wild turkey and grouse populations. Our fishing and hunting guides are the best in the business and can provide you an amazing day on the water or upland bird hunting.

If you love the changing seasons, you’re going to love this area. With over 400,000 acres dotted with breathtaking hiking and mountain biking trails, this area a true gem of Michigan, especially in the Fall when the leaves are on fire. The Big M area is headquarters of Mountain biking races, and a Cross County skiers paradise.

In the winter months, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are popular throughout the county in the winter months, and you can do that right from your cabin’s front door. Crystal Mountain is just 30 minutes away offers 58 downhill skiing and snowboarding slopes. Partake in Moonlight Ski Night, a cross-country skiing adventure under the full moon in the national forest in January and February. With so much to do year-round it’s no wonder our cabins remain a favorite destination for many a Michigan traveler.

Manistee MI

Enjoy the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan.

The town of Manistee is 20 minutes away and is located on the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan. Spend some time with your feet in the sand at one of Manistee’s many public beaches or take a swing at one of the 9 area golf courses. Snap a selfie at the Arcadia Overlook or down at the Manistee North Pierhead Lighthouse that has warned ships for nearly a century.

In town, you’ll find the Manistee Riverwalk, nearly two miles of well-maintained pathway giving vacationers easy access to shops and fine dining. Downtown Manistee is chock-full of historic sites, including the Manistee County Historical Museum and the Manistee Iron Works. Take a self-guided walking tour of the entire Manistee Historic District. Only 1.3 miles long, the tour takes you to 28 buildings and sites with an inspirational story to tell.

Manistee is also host to numerous events and festivals throughout the year, including: National Forest Festival, Grapes on the River Event, Craft Beer and Classic Boat Show, and Sailing Regattas.

Cadillac MI

A classic Northern Michigan resort town.

The town of Cadillac is 30 minutes away and is located near Sleeping Bear Dunes. Cadillac also boasts 8 golf courses, 300 miles of multi-seasonal trails for hikers, bikers and walkers, 60+ miles of cross country ski and snow shoe trails, 200+ miles of groomed snowmobile trails, and 34 Downhill Ski Runs with over 485 feet of vertical drop.

Visitors can also explore Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park, Sunrise Lake, Rose Lake County Park, Lake Mitchell, Lake Cadillac, Lake Missaukee, William Mitchell State Park, Keith McKellop Walkway, The Heritage Nature Trail, North Country Trail – the list goes on.

Cadillac also hosts numerous events and shows throughout the year, including: North American Snow Festival, Mushroom Festival, ArtWalk, Arts Festival & Fine Art Fair, Farmers Markets, Blueberry Festival, Old Engine Show, Music Festivals, Festival of Races, Cow Camp, Harvest Festival, Moonlight Madness, and Storybook Christmas.
